Cal South Soccer Foundation Awards $74,000 in Grants to Assist with Fields, Program Development and Equipment in Southern California

Fullerton, CA (August 9, 2013) -- The Cal South Soccer Foundation has announced the awarding of a dozen non-profit organizations grants totaling $74,000 to assist with soccer field development, program development and to provide equipment throughout the Southern California area. The recipients were selected from applications submitted during the March 2013 grants cycle.

The March 2013 cycle grant recipients are as follows:

"Since 2011, the Cal South Soccer Foundation has given over $402,000 in grants that has serviced over 35 grantees and impacted thousands of soccer players and their families," said Foundation president David De Leon. "Most importantly, this investment has leveraged hundreds of thousands of additional dollars that continue to serve the soccer community. The Cal South Soccer Foundation will seek to find ways to leverage our resources to create more opportunities for youth and their families to enjoy soccer “the beautiful game.”"
